The parents are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
holy. fucking. shit.

5 days with the parents visiting is too much. Next time? 3 days. They arrived on Friday morning and by Sunday evening I was ready to shoot someone.

The constant bickering. The constant complaining. The constant eating noises!

I love my parents, but man, they drive me fucking crazy!

1. Wait until they're retired
then they'll REALLY drive you crazy. Aren't you glad you're thousands of miles away? I live 1/2 mile from mine! :eyes:

2. Well my mother hasn't worked in 25 years
and my dad just started his own business from home. They might as well be retired. And if they ever live that close, I'm moving to Japan!

6. I'm retired and have five children
My oldest daughter and her two children shared my home for five years until she could save enough money to buy a home. She's 32 yrs. old. My oldest son, age 38, is now living at home because he "bottomed out" in Florida.

Maybe I should start practicing and getting meaner instead of so damn nice!

It's lovely to see how parents are so appreciated.

3. You might like my situation
My parents live on the other side of the world.

I see them once every five years or so but they are very cool, not intrusive at all and a lot of fun.

I miss them a lot.

5. I'm sure the feeling was mutual, honey
Five days seems little enough for years of care. Give me a break!

sometimes.

They make plays about it, they make movies about it, they write books about it. people live this shit outside of your perfect world everyday.

Hell Freud made a whole psychology of it, and it pays well, and with reason, because it is natural.

Lighten up.
