High Schooler Suspended For Home Video Version Of "Girls Gone Wild"
<snip>

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- An Albuquerque high school sophomore is in trouble -- for a home video version of "Girls Gone Wild."

Officials at West Mesa High School have suspended the kid for 10 days. He shot his spoof of "Girls Gone Wild" on campus. The parents of one of the girls called police.

An Albuquerque police spokesman says no criminal charges will be filed, because the girls consented to be filmed.

Officials aren't releasing the names of the teenagers involved. School administrators say they haven't seen the video, so they don't know if any of the girls actually flashed on camera.

2. You're only 15 once in a lifetime, when I was that age I was sexually
active, always consensual, plus the kids I hung out with went skinny-dipping and stuff. It's a wonderful age to be. The kids are all right.

6. hmmm..

...Glad things turned out for you, but I'm not sure I agree that it's a good idea for 15 year olds to be sexually active.

10. It may not be a good idea, but it's pretty common.
I, like most of my friends had at least started playing around with sex at 15.

19. Ummm..so?

That doesn't mean kids are ready for it necessarily. I'm not advocating a ban on sex, so please don't twist my words. Personally, I don't think many 15 year olds are emotionally mature enough to deal with the implications of sex.

People used get married quite often at the age of 15. That doesn't happen anymore either.

I guess my comments stem mostly because I get upset when I think of the state of the world for adolescent girls. Society wreaks havoc on their self-esteem, dreams, and does absolutly nothing to nuture them. Sex is about the last thing they need, imo.

25. My two cents
We should make our kids ready to be functioning adults at age 18. Of course, now that I have a child, I may be eating my words in 16 1/2 years, but this is something that has been bugging me for many years.

As a former adolescent girl, I agree with your assertion that there is too much pushed on us during the teenage years, but I was also blessed with parents who taught me that I kicked ass and it was a good thing to tell people to go to hell. A set of influences like that in a young woman's world might do a world of good.

12. Sure the kids are alright...
but they shouldn't be pulling this stuff on school grounds.

I think the school is justified in setting some standards for what behavior is acceptable on school grounds and what behavior isn't.

7. except the video....

....will still exist in 10 years. I'm sorry, this is bad, bad, bad. Sure I think it's fun, and maybe "harmless" for guys, but I think adolescent girls have some serious issues with self-esteem that this whole phenomona has taken advantage of.

I guess I've just got a different take on this. I suspect that all of you who are saying it's "okay" are guys???

13. You most certainly have a point on that one.
Of course, if this had happened on someone's private property, the school would have no recourse.

But your point is valid.

14. Well I dunno if it's right or wrong for
fifteen year olds t be running around wild and naked but I do think videotaping it is wa-ay out of line.
Like the above poster said the tape will still be around fifteen years from now.

15. well,
a tape of high school girls (im pretty sure he didnt ask if they were 18 first) baring their breasts on camera is child pornography, so having the tape in your possession is probably not a good idea.

17. That is exactly my point...
but you know we will see more and more of this as time goes on, video technology is getting more and more portable and unobtrusive....
I'm sure this is but the tip of the iceberg.
Someday soon we may have to send our kids to school with sophisticated jamming devices and the like.

Beautiful world we are building.

The kid is an idiot and the girls think little of themselves. What has happened to respecting your body? And I am sure it's mostly men on this board who says it's "OK". It's not. Even it were consensual, they are still under 18.

And if you are wanting to look at this video as a adult male, then you are disgusting.

Sex is different for girls that age, I know.
