It has been going since morning, no break worth mentioning, here in
Bellingham and Whatcom County. . .

La dee dah. . . I don't mind it so much. The plants love it, right? Right..

1. It was an Edmonds kind of day-
cold and wet! And lots cheaper than watering.

5. But at least it's warm(er) now.
It's the cold mid-winter rains that bum me out.

I can at least pretend this is a tropical monsoon... Got a yard full of beautiful rhodies, that helps... :hi:

7. raining on Vancouver Island, too
But then again, it means I won't have to water the garden. We do need the water (below-normal precipitation lately),

9. In some Chicago burbs the river has crested
six feet over flood level. We've been getting slammed here, but luckily no rain today.

13. yesh!
raining cats and dogs all day in Portland...but it's a warm rain and I don't mind at all, because I work all day in a factory without windows anyways...and it's not as bad as hailing taxicabs!

Everything is green, I have 5 peony plants and two huge hawthorne trees in full bloom in my front yard, although the daisies that cover my lawn didn't bother to open up today...My two cats didn't bother to go out and scrounge up some mice or snakes to bring in and let loose in my living room...My windows and front door are wide open as a type this, listening to Randi on KPOJ with birds singing outside...

I got paid today, looking forward to a four day weekend (tomorrow a vacation day for me)...plus my federal tax return came today!

All in all, things could be worse, although I hope we do get some sunny weather this weekend!
