Well, my wife helped drink it, but yeah, it was strong (15%). We ordered it at a local Italian restaurant, and noticed we were getting buzzed really quickly. Had to bring the rest home. Delicious.

My career is in wine...I love it all...especially Amarone, though any 1999 is tighter than a virgins you know what.:crazy:

but I looked up the term. The wine was not what I would have called "hard" on the palate, but my wife notices a bit of extra tannin more than I do (she has braces and for some reason they seem to amplify it). I had ordered the 1996 and was presented a 1999, that being all the restaurant had left. Still, quite worth drinking.
