Karl pimps Evangelicals?

Check this out on The New Republic's Campaign Journal blog for 5/26:

MYTHICAL EVANGELICALS, SKEPTICAL CATHOLICS:
(snip)
Karl Rove has said that there were four million evangelicals who didn't go to the polls in 2000. Finding them and turning them out this year has been a top priority for the Bush campaign.
(snip)

Um, in anyone familiar with the concept of a pimp "turning out" a prospective prostitute? Usually this involves the inital coerced sexual encounter leading to servitude.

1. I would suggest that we remain very vigilant....
When it comes to Karl Rove. His marketing abilities and strategic tactics should never be underestimated. Aside from the situation in Florida, Bunnypants got to his position with the help of Karl Rove.

2. You know, I had no idea that Bunnypants was a nick for bush.
I thought it was a an adjective that meant "dumb" or "crazy." I've misused it myself.

4. Hi Cat...
I dunno know if it is or not. I watched 60 minutes Woodward interview where he referred to people who can read past the sixth grade level as "Fancypants Elitists". Hence term for W "Bunnypants". I really cannot offer more info. :hi:

6. Here is the info you requested...
<clip>

How deep a man is President George W. Bush? “He’s not an intellectual. He is not what I guess would be called a deep thinker,” says Woodward. “He chastised me at one point because I said people were concerned about the failure to find weapons of mass destruction. And he said, ‘Well you travel in elite circles.’ I think he feels there is an intellectual world and he's indicated he's not a part of it … the fancy pants intellectual world. What he calls the elite.”
