concidering that Davis outsourced his cartoon to mexico in the early '90s (no joke)... Do you think the movie will suck?

1. The promo with Garfield dancing to the Black Eyed Peas
was pretty funny.

But I doubt I'll see the movie.

5. Garfield outsourced?
Any more details on that? I mean, I still read the strip but there's only been like 5 jokes in it in 25 years, was that taxing Jim Davis too much?

6. around the 20th anniversary
it came to light that Davis was having armature cartoonists (in Mexico, said on report) draw his cartoons for him. They also write the jokes and fill them in, in English. (looking for link)

It's not funny. :-( Even the old ones, they're not funny.

And Lorenzo IS Garfield. Accept no subsitute. Well, the Clear Eyes republican guy who gives away money on his boring COmedy Central show would be a substitute...

No offense to Bill Murray, but Garfield can't be Garfield without the late Lorenzo Music.

And in general, cartoons that are turned into live-action movies suck.

10. I bet you a dollar I could write the obligatory lasagna scene
in about 5 minutes. I will not be seeing this movie although I'm very intrigued by the fur on the CG Garfield (fur, hair and skin are the holy grails in the 3D animation world).
