1. Dell gives you free problems and tech support from Pakistanians who

have no idea what they're talking about. They shipped me the wrong memory (1x128MB RDRAM instead of 2x64MB RDRAM - you need the memory in pairs for that technology), yet the techie tells me the computer should work fine with an odd number of memory chips. So I follow his advice and my computer flatlines on me.

In a separate incident my power supply fries all of the sudden, taking my motherboard and video card with it. Took me two weeks to get the damn techie over here to fix it.

And then the fact that they're expensive.

Scary, huh?

Actually -- not asking for pity here... but it is illness that gives me so much time on the Internet. I have been struggling with chronic fatigue syndrome for a while and I don't have a lot of energy for a social life. So DU is pretty much it, sadly enough. :hi:
