4. Not that I think it's the BEST song with a flugelhorn...
...but doesn't Paul McCartney's tune "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" have a flugelhorn riff in the Admiral Halsey section?

My Dad is a professional trumpet player, always had a flugelhorn around the house when I was a kid. It's basically an alto trumpet.

Flügelhorn : Flügel, flank (from its use to summon flanks during a battle) (from Middle High German vlügel, wing, flank) + Horn, horn (from Middle High German, from Old High German).
