My friend got busted for possession.

She had pot on her, and the only reason she didn't go to jail is because she's still 17.
Our local newspaper has police reports in it, and my parents usually read them.
This is not gonna be good. I have a feeling she won't have many friends after this.

3. I get mad when people get busted for having pot on them.

Seriously...it's no worse than alcohol.

The police need to use their time more to look for rapists, murderers, robbers, etc. instead of people who decide to smoke some weed.

What state was it in? If it's a petty misdemeanor it doesn't even go on your record.

For the record, I think 17 is generally too young to start smoking pot.

But not in any city part, so pot tends to numb the pain.
17, actually, is considered the average age of a pot smoker around here. It generally tapers off after college.

5. I got busted when I was 18-worked out perfectly.

I got pulled over by a state trooper doing 78 in a 55mph zone. He had me and my buddy step out of the car. He reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out an eighth of weed. He told me he wasn't going to write me up for the speeding- just the dope.
I went to court in the small town I was busted in. It was strange because it was held in the judges office with just us two guys (my friend had some on him also) and the judge. He tells us he is sorry but he HAS to impose a fine, otherwise he would have just dismissed the ticket. It cost me 5 bucks! The speeding ticket would have been over 200 bucks!

6. Whoa, you made out.

I used to smoke in my car all the time, never got caught though. The funny thing was, my dad used to tease me about smoking marijuana when I went out with my friend. He didn't actually know we did.
He might now though.
