OK, I'll confess. I love election memorabilia (Dem only, of course ;-) ), especially those lapel pins with the glass-like coating. I just got my Kerry one a little while ago :-)

1. Here's a question:
Why is Nader such flamebait on this board?

4. Well,
I *did* say anything...

Mr. Nader is a divisive figure, no doubt about it. People who read and post here at DU are strongly opinionated, and when the discussion turns to Ralph, people let their logic and reason slip a bit, and argue ad hominem. The two groups have what may be irreconcilable positions: one group asserts that Ralph should sit out this race lest he cause undecideds to vote for him and not Kerry; the other asserts that anyone can run for President and Ralph's detractors should hush up. Both sides are right, and there is the problem.

How does that sound?

2. Can it be worn off a lapel?

3. It's on my purse right now
so your answer is, "Yes." This button is shaped like the lower 48, so it's a bit large for lapels today. In the 70's, though, whoo! It would have been lost in the wide wide sea that used to be jacket lapels...

5. NEGATIVE!
Lapel pins are for lapels ONLY!
If you want one for your purse, you must get a PURSE PIN.
I though everybody knew that.

8. Ugh!
I mean, many thanks for the jacket, but I don't think I should pierce the leather just for my Kerry pin... I'll, um, I'll go down to Ross and see what they have...
