Kerry in 04 or Clinton in 08?

Without debating the liklihood of this occurrance, would you prefer that Bush* win in November and H. Clinton win the WH in 2008, or would you prefer that Kerry win in November and H. Clinton not ever make it to the WH?

(I only put in the 3rd choice if you can't decide - or don't want to - between the other two choices)

And... just out of curiosity, if Kerry were to lose in November, do you think he'd give it a run again in 2008?

If we ever hit the point where she's the best candidate we can produce, it's time to form a new party.

I don't think she has a snowball's chance in hell of winning an election. Everyone knows her already and has an opinion, and I highly doubt that the majority is favorable. I think she's just the new boogeyman.

I want no part of that, though. I'm for health care for all, but NOT "universal," and certainly not her brand.

But it'd come out something like 54-46% against her. There is a very definite and set public opinion about her already, which is not something you want in a presidential candidate.

I like her; I wish she had had success with health care reform.

I just don't think she would make a good president.

Kerry in 04 or Ashcroft in 08. Given another 4 years, Bush will most likely acquire the ability to appoint his successor.

Hillary had her chance to run in 2004 and she decided not to run. I'm not going to suffer with another 4 years of bush just for the thrill of Hillary for president. She'll do quite nicely in the Senate thank you very much

This was pretty close for me. I think the benefit of having the better person be president in the future (Hillary is way ahead of Kerry in my book) is outweighed by the possibility of Roe being overturned by a Bush SCOTUS appointment when Sandy Day steps down next year. I'll vote for Kerry now, but its pretty close.

It would seem that most really don't care (or don't even WANT) to have Hillary win the presidency... I'd like to have her in the WH (would her as VP be better than her as Pres? Would she want that?).

I like Hillary and whenever some freeper badmouths her I'll always rush to her defense. But there's no way she'll ever win. As much as freepers lash out at Kerry, they FUCKING LOATHE Hillary like Satan herself. She is such a polarizing figure. I know, so is Dubya. But he's never won a Presidential election either.

Even putting aside the fact that we absolutely have to avert a second Bush term at all costs, I'm really not crazy about the idea of HRC becoming president in and of itself.

I find her to be cynical, blatantly power-hungry and willing to compromise her principles (and as another respondent already pointed out, she's significantly to the right of Kerry). As a former New Yorker, I was kind of turned off by her move to New York to claim a Senate seat and her transparent attempt to pretend to be a down-home Noo Yawker (claiming to be a Yankees fan, etc.).

I'd vote for her over a wingnut neocon/fundie, but even then only grudgingly. If she was running against a relatively sane, moderate Republican, I would vote Green.
