Which is true domestic terrorism:
* People vandalizing SUV dealers (as recently reported by Herr Media)

or

* SUVs and their dealers?

This one's obvious, the latter are the terrorists.

Also, branding radical environmentalists who have enough guts to do more than just whine as terrorists only gives Patriot Act II credibility and threatens all our freedoms.

Damn fuckin' nazi media... who needs the FCC when they all report the same slant anyway? :eyes:

2. All right then, I won't knock it.
Instead, I'll knock the results of America's fad with the SUV: Have fun paying more for the already high gas prices and shortening the supply which in turn will only accelerate the increase of gas prices... :-(

Sorry, but SUVs are just wrong. If you need the power, why not just get a truck?

Some may have a legit need for an SUV, but by and large it's nothing more than a status symbol or ego trip that's screwing us all in the end.

3. Nothing wrong with a status symbol
nothing wrong with and ego trip. WTH are we all doing on this board?? I can get information elsewhere. SUV is a big passenger car. My family is big enough to need that rather than a pickup. It substitutes for a station wagon. It's paid for. And I like it. So does my wife. I don't need anybody else telling me what kind of vehicle, dog, gun, house, or job that I need. I know that best, and certainly don't want a pointy-headed civil servant telling me different.

5. Hummers ain't SUVs. SUV have their place.
but hummers go beyond that. they are the uber-caddilac. the latest way for rich assholes to say 'fuck you'. they serve no purpose other than to glorify retched excess.

they are a big sign about how sick american society has become.

let's be up front about it. if you drive a hummer, you support terrorism,

8. SUV's can stay, if they'll classify them right!
remember when conservatives were all about conserving?

Me either...

people can buy whatever they want, as far as I care, but this bullshit of giving loose standards for efficiency and pollution, to vehicles that suck at both, is foolish and insane, especially considering that the oil supply is the reason for this goddamn war in the first place! We need to be focusing on using LESS fuel :eyes:

the Constitution says nothing about having the right to certain mpg, the right to go 0-60 in less than 15 seconds, etc

they make them big and gluttonous because that's who they appeal to most.
