I wanted to put a picture of my Kitty on DU how do I do that?

I think it has to be stored on your personal server or another place, but things uploaded onto geocities will not post unfortunately.

I haven't tried any of these but you might find something here...Also, I think Tripod is like Geocities in that you can't hotlink...Same way if you have a briefcase on a Yahoo homepage...
