1 Minute Message Beamed Into Space Will Cost You $25
<snip>

PHILADELPHIA -- Talk about a long-distance call.

A company called Endless Echoes is allowing people to beam messages into space.

The company charges $25 for a one-minute call -- recorded over a telephone -- to the great beyond.

Founder Paul Forte said many of his customers are people who want to say goodbye to a lost loved one. Others want to spread good news to the universe, such as the couple who announced the birth of their daughter.

Forte said that, in theory, the radio waves will travel forever. Since launching his company on June 1, he has had about two dozen customers.

7. Can do.
It'll probably be easier, though, if I just ask them next time they stop by for beer and poker night.

6. I used to try to bounce signals off the moon with my CB rig
  • Browning Golden Eagle III
  • 1000 Watt linear amp
  • Antenna the size of a small house

I think I got an echo once.

Remember that many early spacecraft only had a 4 watt transmitter.
