Anyone ever hear Todd Rundgren's "cover" of Good Vibrations?

"Cover" in quotes b/c it's more of a facsimile. An attempt to perfectly recreate it and other classic pop/rock songs on his '76 album "Faithful."

Listening to it now for first time in years. Rundgren sings every part. Pretty damn incledible, IMO.

it was the first Todd album I ever heard and I was hooked for life.

As everyone here knows, Todd is godd!

Several strong originals on Faithful as well: Cliche, Love of the Common Man, The Verb To Love.

Have you seen his current tour in support of Liars? Coming your way? Just came through New Orleans. I was stunned by how good he still is live and not relying on his older catalogue. Only 2 pre-90's tunes the whole nite. Got me on a Todd jag, w/ Faithful just arriving from Amazon.

3. Love of the Common Man

is my all time favorite Todd tune. Luckily he seems to like it too since he's done it virtually every time I've seen him live (we're talking dozens here). He will never make it up my way but he may play Phoenix. I saw him there a year or two ago and he was awesome as usual.
