I'm finally back on line.
I had to reinstall my entire OS yesterday and it took most of the day and night. I still don't have everything done yet. You ever had to do that ?

2. me too!
On Wed PM something (comic ray? bad karma?) corrupted the the master boot record on my primary disk. Of course, it took me a couple of days to try EVERYTHING else before concluding that the MBR was toast, then another day to figure out how to fix it. Along the way I obliterated the Linux system (thought I might need the secondary disk for a fresh XP installation) but luckily it was fully backed up. The box is still open and running on only one disk as I type this.
