EURO 2004 France 2 England 1: England fans disgusted.
When you put down your beers and head for the center of Lisbon because your team loses, you must be looking for trouble. The French reacted angerly for having to "sneak" out of the stadium away from the English fans. I wonder if something ugly could have happened?

8. It's more than a soccer game....
it's a passion and it is almost religion. This is part of the reason why I love this game. It is not just about fighting or riots, it is about pride, community, and skill of the game is intense. It is without a doubt "The People's Game!"

6. I tell you what.
I'm staying away from the Moon and Sixpence this evening (the best British Pub on the west coast, which just happens to be four blocks away). Those people know I'm half Alsatian. Some damn Welch friend squealed on me during the last World Cup. The bastard!
