Does anyone know how to get candle wax out of a carpet?
I had a candle freak out on me yesterday, and now there's a whole crapload of wax on the carpet. It's a 'short-haired' carpet. Any tips or tricks?

4. A paper bag and an iron...
or you could use newspaper instead of a paper bag.

8. Wouldn't the newsprint transfer to the carpet?
If you have a light colored carpet you'd be screwed. Use the iron, but a white towel or white paper towel or paper. Keep the iron on low.

7. Paper towels and an iron
Watch the heat setting if you have a synthetic carpet! Remember, wax melts around a 150 degrees so stay away from the cotton setting on the iron unless you want a textured carpet.

9. Ice
I have never dealt with the wax on carpet with ice.... but I throw wax coated candlesticks in the freezer all the time.

Try putting a massive ice pack on that spot of your carpet and see if you can just peel the wax off after it cools down!
