Poll question: Of These Men... Who Is Gayer?
Edited on Mon Jun-14-04 04:32 PM by arwalden
Surely I've left out someone, so there's an "Other" option too. If you vote for "other" tell me who you had in mind.

-- Allen

edit: deleted "Little Richard" (with no votes) and added Harvey Fierstein (whom I cannot believe I omitted).

5. I voted for Richard Simmons
Did anyone see his hilarious bit on Whose Line is it anyway?
I saw it on reruns last week, I don't know when it first aired but that skit was so funny and so gay so that's why I voted for him.

When he referred to a guest's Country Style decor as being "one baby's breath over the line," I choked on my Diet Coke, which promptly spewed out of my nose.

I did briefly consider adding "Queerduck" to the list... but he's just a cartoon character. And that "Cojo" guy on NBC's Today Show is much more gay than Queerduck is. :-)

25. Oh My Gay Stars!! You're So Right!

Only he's a sour-gay... a mean-gay... a catty-gay. He was always so vicious in attacking other people. I was never sure what it was abut him that Charlotte liked.

Willie Garson's character was much more likeable... I was glad to see that the writers developed his character to something beyond the hapless hopeless unloved victim.

What about George Michael. He's making a musical comeback. His boyfriend is really good looking. Hell, I even told my wife that. I mean, come on, I may be straight, but I know what a good lookin' man when I see one.

32. Did you hear that Cyndi Lauper dogged Cojo?
I voted for Cojo because he's not only gayer than gay, but he's also skanky. At any rate, Cojo went one of Lauper's concerts and Cyndi saw him in the audience. He must have said something bad about her at one point, and Cyndi can be a bit of a diva, just like the Ho Cojo, so she got him back:

At an L.A. benefit concert over the weekend to raise money for multiple sclerosis research, Lauper whirled on Cojocaru and scolded: "You are the guy who makes us feel bad about ourselves. Yet you so desperately want to be one of us?" In response, the cheeky Cojocaru has turned the other cheek. "He thought it was absolutely hilarious," Cojocaru's publicist told me. "His personal anthem is 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.'"

36. Don't you mean gayest?
When comparing two, one is gayer. When comparing more than two, the most gay is gayest.

Only matters to persnickety old grammar queens like me.

But couldn't I still say "Who is gayer than the rest?" Which is what I meant. I assumed that everyone would understand that the words "than the rest" were implied. :hi:

45. Mmmmmm hmmmmm......
Well, where I work, if it's not in writing in the proper form, it doesn't count. "Didn't you get my email with that change?" Which email out of 5,000? Nope, sorry, you don't update the spec, I officially know nothing about it. You don't ask (in the manner everyone has agreed upon), you don't get. Toe the line, buster, or you're out!

40. Voted for Liberace out of a sense of poignant nostalgia
gotta love the guy sued a london tabloid for outing him, AND WON!
Not for nothing was he dubbed by John Waters as "the first gay terrorist"...
:)
That having been said...Carson Cressley is a flamer's flamer...he swishes, he camps, he vogues, he glides into a room...he makes the four remaining members of the "fab five" look dead butch by comparison.
A homosexual such as he comes along only once in a century...I wish Carson and his confreres well....flaunt it bay-bee!
