Solstice party weekend takes a turn for the worse

My best friend of 21 years fell off his dirt bike, he wasn't wearing a helmet because he was being stupid. He fell off and cracked his head and fucked himself up pretty good. He was able to walk to the cabin under his own power, and thankfully one of my friends has industrial first aid.
He's been taken to the hospital. I wasn't here when the whole thing happened, I left early to hang out in Penticton and get some food. On the way back I saw my friend screaming down the mountain in his car. When I got back to the cabin my friend Darrell came up and said "We've had a bad morning." Then told me, they wouldn't let me go to the hospital and are making me stay here and calm down but I can't.
I think I'm gonna head down there pretty quickly.

Yikes! Scary.

It's not mandatory that motorcyclists wear helmets. Now chances are that you'll never see me on a motorcycle, but if for some odd reason I do have to be on one you are going to see me with a helmet on. I've seen people's heads squished like grapes because they weren't wearing a helmet. That's just asking for it, man.

Got a call, it's mostly stitches, still unsure about the head.

Hopefully he's just bruised and will be back at your place joining in the festivities by tonight.
