Give me liberty
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 05:23 AM by Fear
Last night in an attempt to escape DU for a bit and set my mind on something else for a few - my failed attempt was in grabbing some OLD comics I have.......

Nice that I grabbed the comic by Frank Miller and Dave Gibbons with the comic *Give me Liberty*, anyone read this series as well?, it must've been somewhere in '91 or so that I bought this, didn't really make an impact on me at that time.....but reading it now.....geeeez.

Give Me Liberty #1 (of 4)
Writer: Frank Miller
Artist: Dave Gibbons
Cover Artist: Dave Gibbons
Colorist: Robin Smith
Genre: Action/Adventure, Science-Fiction

The Twenty-first Century: in the squalid corridors of a maximum security Housing Project she takes on a gangland Enforcer; on the war-torn streets of Chicago she fights the murderous Health Police; but the real trouble starts when Martha Washington turns Fifteen...

Pub. Date: June 01, 1990

on edit:
*it's fascinating on their take on a president that is *re-elected* time after time. Bizarre settings of the world with housing projects that look like prisons (are) etc. etc. - if you come across a comic store - definately worth checking into this.

I know not what course others may take but - as for me - give me liberty or give me death <-> Patrick Henry <1775>
