the 1983 US Festival
I came out to California from NY for the first time to see this concert. I went with my brother and a friend, and we drove down from Palo Alto to San Bernardino and camped out for 3 days. The first day lineup was:

The Divinyls
INXS
Wall of Voodoo
Oingo Boingo
The English Beat
Flock of Seagulls
Stray Cats
Men at Work
The Clash

We skipped the second day - Heavy Metal Day.

Third day:

Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul
Berlin
Quarterflash
U2
Missing Persons
Pretenders
Joe Walsh
Stevie Nicks
David Bowie (who was the reason I went cross-country)

I moved to California the next year ;)

1. I remember that , I didn't get to go I was 13 but
I had the video of the three days and watched it a lot
wishing I had been there .

3. It was great
And tickets were $20 per day.

Bowie made the record books that night for being the first solo performer to get $1,000,000 for a single show.
