There weren't to many nekkid people this year for two reasons: 1) Lots of LEO's (Law Enforcement Officers) giving tickets to naked people. 2) It was cold! In past years I have seen tons of naked peeps.

I didn't know policeman could come and ticket nudists at the RG! Isn't it a legitimate naturist activity, or else why have people gotten away with it in the past? (I've never been to one but have known people who attend regularly)

If you can't be nekkid in the woods, 50 miles away from a freaking paved road... when CAN you be nekkid! It blows my mind that we live in such a puritanical society. WHO CARES IF YOUR NAKED IN THE WOODS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!!??? What possible damage could you have on society?

7. A hard-core hippie convention in the woods.
I suggest you visit www.welcomehome.org for more information. We mainly pray for world peace and learn to work together.

17. Is there still a guy there,
Native American, named Medicine Story? I knew him years ago, when he taught at my highschool for a semester. My highschool somewhat resembled a hippie commune too.:D He was very involved with the rainbow gathering. He was once even in a Newsweek story about it. I don't know if he's even still around. Thanks.

18. Was it really in the exact location as the '84 gathering?
That's what a friend of mine told me last week, but is seemed rather unlikely (no pun intended).

19. Not exactly, but very close.
The Moduc Indians came by on July 2nd to tell us that they were offended that we were on their sacred burial grounds. Why did they wait until the 2nd to tell us that? There were people there for two weeks... if they had said something earlier, the gathering would have been moved. My own opinion is that the Forrest Service put them up to it. They don't like citizens actually using the land unless you are going to put cows on it or cut down trees.
