Antonio is married to Melanie Griffith *yuck* that's turnoff right there. I LOVE JOHNNY DEPP but the picture posted is NOT a good one I agree that greasy hair is never A-OK.

That's how impressed I was by it.

It's not, like Citizen Kane, but the story of a guy pulled into something and being unable to get out of it was quite compelling. A very good revenge story.
And the guitar case friggin rocks.

Banderas was very good, easily his best work.

Visually it worked as well. I never thought either Salma or Antonio was particularly stunning, but they were absolutely luminous. Both of them.

I was even suprised at the revelation of "the bad guy", and the final scenes.

Overall, I really, really liked it.

Or, LOL, I did at 3 in the morning.

Once Upon a Time... horrifically. I don't know why, but it's just caught my attention in a huge way... so I finally rented Desperado this weekend and LOVED it.. I totally get it. It barely registered iin my little world when it came out.

I was also very excited about the Spykids racket, and never understood how Disney dropped the ball so badly on it, especially in the marketing department. I find rodriguez' work to be soooo rich and fulfilling. He has a genuinely rare and unique vision, and an astounding ability to translate it to the screen.

The works in this trilogy are astonishing. They speak to the imagination of what Mexico was in our fantasy; the dusty towns, the heros, the bad guys.

Seriously, I never ever gave banderas a second look before (although I did appreciate his work in Evita) and his work with rodriguez just sizzles. How a guy with THAT hairline got hot, I have NO idea.

I don't know, after Antonio married Melanie Griffith, I too was like...ohhhh and I thought he was cool.

So when SpyKids came out, I thought he had fully crossed the bridge into cheesy-dom. Maybe one day I'll give it a look see, but also acting pre-teens get on my nerves, LOL.

Rodriguez is certainly very talented. I've not seen El Mariachi, though, and I want to, but no hot Antonio, LOL!

One of them, anyway. But a cool thing about Antonio is that he's one of those good-looking dudes who I think men feel all right about liking. What they used to call a 'man's man,' I guess, much of which has to do with self-deprecating humor and a sense of mischief. I loved "The Mask of Zorro" - fortunately, the producers gave me Catherine Zeta Jones at her most fetching to even the score more than just a little.

I thought she was a good actress until she got this trashy "too much plastic surgery" look. Together the look like a bunch of trailerpark dwellers who just won the big lottery!

in paradise, since she's getting all that surgery plastique.

I imagine they'll announce their divorce within the next few months.

I never got that excited about Antonio. Just thought he's an OK actor, pretty decent in the Almodovar pics. I guess I'll have to go back and See El Mariachi and Desperado befor OUATIM.

I love it when they make fun of Antonio on SNL.
