At the casino where I work there are a lot of freepers (not to mention completely apolitical, clueless people) that I work with. Fortunately, there are at least two or three fellow libs I get to speak with on a fairly regular basis. Today was one of those days where I got to spend a good deal of my time with a lib guy (originally from Ohio) on the craps game. Since it's a small dice table with a two-person crew, we get to stand facing each other when we have no players and just talk away the dead time.
So, I'm talking with my co-worker and next thing I know he's telling me that he knows a local high school principal who admitted that the entire school district pretty much "teaches the test" to comply with the No Child Left Behind bushit. Then, I brought up that famous quote by * that asks "...is our children learning?" and we both had a good chuckle over it. About that time, some little dweeb business exec-type guy (and I do mean little; he was no more than 5'4" tall and scrawny looking but dressed nicely enough) came up to us and asked, in a loud voice, "Don't you people have anything better to do than stand there making fun of the president?" At the same time I looked this dude in the eye and said "As a matter of fact, I'm quite enjoying myself, sir!", my co-worker shot back with "But it's just so EASY!". This poor schmuck looked back and forth at the two of us, shook his head and sped away from the table as if to tell us the casino could just forget about his business.
Man, what a great stress reliever that was! :D
