Fortunate Son: What's everyone's take on this?

Should it be taken with a grain of salt because of Hatfield's past? Is there any other source verifying Bush's cocaine arrest? I checked it out from the library and I've read the first couple chapters. It's good so far but I wonder just how credible is it? I know people have been smeared by the right, but this guy admits he was part of an attempted murder plot.

Note: posting this here since I can't seem to post in GD....
