I tried to post this on GD but they are having posting problems over there. I am about 1/3 through this book and it perplexes me. On the one hand it is a chilling account of people living through the horror of the first Iraq war and I can't disagree with her assessment of Bush Senior and the West. On the other hand, in the middle of all of the chaos, there seems to be very little done for people less well off than her and she's building a swimming pool. I can't figure. Is it worth reading further?
