DU Convention photos -- Day 3 -- (Convention Opening Night)

Hey, everyone! We're having an awesome time at the convention. Spent much of the day on Monday volunteering. That night was opening night at the Fleet Center, where we saw Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, Hillary Clinton, and Bill Clinton speak. I know you probably saw it on TV already, but I took a bunch of photos so you could get a feeling of what it was like to be there. (Some of the photos are blurry because I had to take long exposures without a flash in order to get decent lighting.)

But its all good really, people are telling me that I should be GLAD that I am NOT there, hah I'd much rather be in Boston than doing payroll work and position logs, thats for sure. Keep on having fun up there and taking pictures.

Youre taking Algebra II next year, good on you, and remember I am 3 grades older than you, and we're taking the same math heh. they are doing us a great favor, and when they get back, they'll give us the truth as opposed to the lies people who seek to divide us spread.

You know that, wont hold it against you though, I just wish I could have gone, damn lack of funds and damn untrusting parents. Hey Kerry thinks the Yankees should be taken away heh, he had an interview with ESPN online.

We watched on CSPAN last night and the neighbors must have thought we were nuts!!! Several times, my wife, my son and I lept to our feet, pumped our fists in the air and cheered loud enough to wake the dead!

It's cheaper to bring him along than keep him in a kennel. Plus, he's happier here.

I have two of them. SweetPea & Lucy, Two mini dachsunds that are the apples of my and their mommas eyes. We should have a pet forum. Someplace where dems can showcase their best friends.

Romeo looks like a real lover. he looks very sweet and tender. I've always wanted a Chihuahua, though I think pugs are cute also.

Like ewagner upthread, my neighbors may think we're nuts here too. The surround sound has been blasting C-Span all day and night here. We've been cheering and clapping and crying.

This is all just so emotional. With all the heartache and pain the Bush* administration has inflicted upon us as a nation it does our hearts good to embrace the hope of the Kerry-Edwards ticket.

I remember how alone and lost I felt the day DU opened its door. So when I say I'm enjoying your pictures of the Convention, it is understatement because there are no adequate words to describe or express how wonderful it feels to see DU pictures of this Convention. Back on January 20, 2001, I had lost hope. I was emotionally shattered. DU became my crisis center, then my educator. Now look, DU is bringing to me, to us, the pulse of our Convention! It is all just so damn emotional!
