How often do you check your own profile to see how many posts you have?

I check from time to time. I don't post that much compared to some, I'm more of a reader unless I think I have something really important (at least important to me) to say, so my post count doesn't increase as rapidly as others. But I just checked, and I'm up something like 500 posts from when I last checked. Back on the old software, I always knew. I think this is better. I think it keeps people from posting just to see the number increase.

When approaching a landmark, 1000, 2000, 3000, 10000, something like that, I'll wager that the user checks a lot more often.

And how does Roni (newyawker99 for those that don't know - 47432 posts herself, by the way) know when posters reach landmarks? Does she cruise around checking profiles? Or do users PM her to let her know?

When does school start? 69 posts aren't really that many if you're determined.

when I was trying to reach 2000 before DU.2. I surprised myself, it went so fast. We reached it on the very same day, though 2000 is not nearly as big a deal as reaching the four-digit club.:-)

School starts for most people next week. I am so glad I don't have that to look forward to!:-)

I remember that, too...I made my first milestone speech that night! :)

For the students, that is. We teachers reported last Tuesday (the 19th). Sucks to be us. But we'll get out earlier.

which sucks because later today i'm going to the fair and I have to finish my AP work in a span of 2 days...:(

Edit: 1,830 as of this edit. And I usually check once a week or so.

once a week or whenever I happen to think about it. :shrug: After new DU went into effect it was weeks before I checked because I just didn't think about it, now I try to check semi-regularly. :eyes:

EDIT: I checked and now have 5333. :-)

But I will say that it is fun to keep track of the numbers and it gives me pleasure to extend congrats to those who have reached a milestone. :-)

You know how much we all appreciate your hard work that does so much to make DU a welcoming and feel-good place for everyone here, whether they have reached 100 posts or 20,000!
