I need to get away from DU
because my house is a mess and I have a ton of weeding to do...(its been raining so I have an excuse for a moment..)...

But my house is filthy.... I need to clean, do laundry, and boo hoo...the kids aren't old enough to really be put to work yet.. ;-)

its just so hard not to read, post and lurk about...

the yard will always need attention

but

those kids will soon grow up. The time you spend with them is golden

8. You will LOVE
"Oryx and Crake." It's an excellent book that will leave you feeling disturbed when you're through.

4. I weeded for two hours this morning
And then came in and read Beverley Nichols for awhile. I am writing syllabi and every 45" or so I go vacuum a room. Check in here once in awhile but don't stay for more than 5-10".

6. I can't stay away for
very long either. I wonder what this place will be like if we succeed in the elections? I don't think too many of us will abandon it. I have a house to clean, laundry to do and friends to call but here I am. It is good I don't have a computer at the farm or the horses would starve!

7. Me too -- I basically blew a Saturday morning here
doing what? Laughing, reading, basking in the glow of the company of like minded people. When I go out into the Arizona world, it's scary. Will people hate me because of my license plate???
