1. It's been getting pretty bad reviews.
Is the spoiler what everybody's been saying it is?

2. Without spoiling the inevitable Shyamalan "big plot twist"...
What's it about? It looked interesting, but the previews didn't even leave me with the foggiest idea about the story.

All I got from the commercial was:

1) Some people live near the woods
2) Something in the woods is scary
3) Weird stuff happens

What gives?

3. I guessed the ending to both "The 6th Sense" and "Unbreakable"
Just from the ads. And "Signs"? OH GODS, what a bunch of heavy-handed tripe!

I'm glad you liked "The Village". I wouldn't wish a bad film-going experience on anyone. I've been "taken" by Night for the last time, though.

4. The ending to signs was one of the worst endings ever filmed.
But a lot of the stuff leading up to it was really good.

6. If you have keen bullshit sniffers you will not enjoy
the movie. I am easily snookered into suspending belief and going along for the ride. I have not seen Unbreakable. I did not feel that Signs succeeded in putting the snooker on me. Sixth Sense did.

7. When I heard that Night appears again in "The Villiage"
I decided to wait for pay-cable. That is true, isn't it? Like in "Signs", Night appears and gives out a big chunk of the plot?

8. After the plot twist he appears as a voice and reflection in a glass door
His comments to a character, the characters response, and the setting in which he appears are subtle. At least to me.

5. there is the revealing plot twist at the end of the movie
The movie is about how the boogeyman is used to keep villagers in place and not venture outside the bounds of the village. It is set in the late nineteenth century. It depicts what could be the last pre-industrial village.

10. some RW rags
have indicated it's actually a anti-Bush liberal smear...

I'm not kidding about this....who knew a horror movie is actually about the GOP...

11. Easily surmised
RW nut cases may see the movie as a primer for exposing BFEE's use of fear as a means of controlling the masses.
