Just got back from Manchurian Candidate
Can't help think about the following scenario:

The phone rings, W answers...

"Lieutenant George Bush"
"Lieutenant George W Bush"
"Listen carefully..."

Perhaps he became the Crawfordian Candidate back in those missing 5 months in 1972...

1. That would explain alot!
I saw the movie yesterday. I was bored in the first half of the movie. I think the last 45 minutes were better.

(I saw The Village too. I actually thought The Village was better than manchurian candidate, even though I figured out the ending before I actually saw the movie. I read too many reviews that gave hints.)

3. Have you seen the original?
The original is one of my favorite all time movies. Did they do it justice in the remake?

5. Can you say "Halliburton?" and other random thoughts
I spent the first few minutes thinking "is that Al Franken's voice?"

Also, GW doesn't NEED brainwashing. Besides, brainwashing him would be kind of like taking lint to the dry cleaners -- what would be the purpose?

6. I know I was thinking Halliburton too...
I could totally see Babs being like that, everyone knows she wears the pants in the family. Plus the whole thing about her husband never living up to her standards, George Sr. being a one-termer and all. Georgie is her favorite son and would do anything to see him succeed!
