Follow Up Post: Did anyone ever locate "Lion of the Desert" and watch it?

I posted last weekend about it....and thought I'd do a follow up, here. Did any of you locate it at "Blockbuster Video" or elsewhere and watch it?

If so, what did you think?

2. Way too long.

I watched it on cable tv about 15 years ago. It seemed to last four hours, but was probably less. The tedious passages need editing. For those of you unfamiliar with the movie, it was about Mussolini's invasion and colonisation of Libya in about 1930, before Hitler got his start.

3. "Surprisingly bland."

This was the comment made by Blockbuster's Guide to Movies, which I found after my other reply. The movie does have a lot of violence, which I don't think of as "bland."
