3. Yeah, right
No hardcore right-winger who truly knows Bruce, his music, and what he stands for would ever deem themselves a "fan".

It's probably just a bunch of pissed off conservatives trying to stir up some trouble.

9. Bruce has a lot of Repub fans
It makes no sense to me, but it's been the case since the eighties. There's always a bunch of people booing when he makes political statements during shows or turning their back when he sings songs like "41 shots."

Remember "Born in the U.S.A." was used by Reagan and Reagan supporters never understood the irony of it.

13. I don't think it's unreasonable for Repubs to like Bruce for the music
A lot of Bruce's songs have no political content whatsoever and some that have political content aren't necessarily partisan in their view.

That said, I would never "boo" a particular song by an artist that I liked overall if it carried a message that I didn't agree with. I may shut it out and wait the 3-4 minutes for the next song but that doesn't mean it's unfathomable that I can enjoy the majority of an artist's work.

From a different angle, Tchaikovsky was reportedly a pedophile. Doesn't mean I can't appreciate and enjoy listening to his compositions.

7. Toby Keith is a registered Democrat...
http://www.tobykeith.com/?inc=News&nws_id=4162

But Keith has a confession to make. "People don't realize that I'm a registered Democrat," he says. "They automatically assume that I'm a chest-banging, war-drum-pounding Republican with my military stance."

He donated to Bush last year, though:

I guess all those right-wing morons are just screwed. This is just f*cking hilarious. Hey lurking Freepers: Go ahead and destroy all the CDs you have or stop buying new ones. You dimwits are so insignificant that nobody will even notice.

16. Regardless of how he's registered to vote,
I still plan on continuing my 23-year boycott of Toby Keith CDs. Not because he supports the war, but because he makes shitty music. In the same vein, my 23-year boycott of the Dixie Chicks will continue as well.
