Al Franken just took a call from Phil Margo of the Tokens, who had a #1 hit in 1961 with "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." Margo offered to join the tour that REM, Springsteen, et al, are going on to support Kerry. His reasoning is that the Tokens could attract a demographic (particularly in Florida!) that the other acts probably wouldn't.

God, I love doo-wop music! :bounce::kick:

3. I have a friend who is in a Doo-wop band (Streetcorner)
I had the opportunity to play (guitar) with them at the Greektown Casino last weekend. Priceless. "Since, I don't, have you-oo-oo."
