Let me design your website!!

Listen guys, I hate to hit you with spam or anything like this, so I'm only doing it once. I'm pretty poor and after getting into a car accident, I need some extra money to pay for my car repairs. So I started a little side business to help generate some income. I can do professional websites using Flash, Dreamweaver, and FrontPage for quite literally thousands less than the guys who make their living doing this, and not to toot my own horn, mine come out as good, if not better than most of the sites you'll see.

but good luck to you, again, just LOOK around and educate yourself. some can get it without formal training, some cannot.

I taught myself HTML years ago -- granted, my skills aren't really up to the current norms of web design, but OTOH, my pages don't take a minute and a half to load on a 56K connection... I'm a technical writer, not a graphic designer, but still!

Sorry, dude. I clicked on there 'cause I'm actually seriously interested in having a second website iteration (version 5.0) that's nicer and has more attention to graphics, but your colour scheme is awful, and you've obviously got something gratuitously coded in there, because otherwise it would have loaded quickly...and $200US is *way* more than I can afford.

But please take some time out and look at graphics manuals - and the ads all about our heads all the time - the simple striking ones. It's that important to you, so do it.

make yourself not look like you do on your promotion of web design. I am not insulting you, btw.

the layout is jarring. It won't even center horizontally on the page. (True, creating a page that resizes depending on the size of the browser window can be hard to do, especially combined with backward compatibility, but at least aligning the page horizontally would be an improvement.)

As the flash animation is a static size, why not include javascript that automatically resizes the browser window accordingly?

As it appears to be all Flash-based, I can say but one word overall. Yuck!!!!! That's a big pet peeve of mine; people and corporations using Flash as the basis of web pages. Especially when there's multiple pages' worth of text content to print, it can't be done in Flash.

Lots of people happen to like having Flash sites. There are also other benefits to the style, but I'm sure you're well aware of them.

And as someone that's also looking for work, it would've been far more classy to simply wish the best and not bash someone's work.

And that means you're missing out on part of the market. Don't take it personally, just offering constructive criticism. Good luck, keep trying.

Personally, I'm not familiar with mozilla, though I'm assuming it's not flash compatible, or you haven't got flash loaded onto your system. But thanks to your input, I'll see if I can find a way around it.

I believe that the Library has Mozilla at least that is what a person that i use to know told me.
