New name for DU after '04?
When Chimpy is out on his ass (and hopefully on his way to poor-person jail) in '04, we'll no longer be the underground; we'll be the big dogs.

So, I'm wondering what will replace the "Underground" in "Democratic Underground".

My suggestions are:

"Democratic I-Told-You-So-Ground",

"Democratic Finally-A-Government-For-The-People-Ground"

or

"Democratic HA-HAGround" (of course, that's a Neslon Muntz "HA-HA")

Anyone else have a suggestion?

2. keep it as underground
Democratic Underground is an awesome name...I wouldn't have ever come here if it wasn't for the "Underground" in the name (I thought the name was bad-ass, so I clicked on the link from the site I was on).

You think we're done after the '04 election?

Hell, January 2005 is when the real work starts.

14. very true
We still need the House back. We still need the Senate back.

If not we'll never get an end to the partisan investigations into the inappropriate conduct of President Dean, or President Kerry or President Gephardt, Edwards or whomever.

If we don't get back the Senate we'll have ALL of our judicial nominees stonewalled.

We'll be underground until we get all three branches back, or at least two out of three, and then we have to start working on the media and make sure the 4th Column doesn't tear down another Democratic administration.

6. So long as there is even one
conservative wingnut living on the planet, there will be a need for the Democratic Underground. Remember...."eternal vigilence is the price of democracy" or something like that. We celebrate in 2004, then we quietly get right back to work.

I think one of our new smilies would work well right here.

11. Don't hold your breath, unless Kucinich becomes Prez
Dean is Clinton, so you'll be very disappointed...assuming your politics aren't DLC-oriented.

Kerry? Same

Clark? Maybe, but remember who his current employer is. That doesn't exactly inspire hope in my heart.
