Chocolate Math
Chocolate Math

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate. (try for more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)

3. Add 5. (for Sunday)

4. Multiply it by 50 I'll wait while you get the calculator................

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1754.... If you haven't, add 1753 .......

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number ...

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are .........

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it IS!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

1. Let "x" be the chosen number from 1 to 10
Edited on Sat Aug-07-04 11:12 PM by Lucky Luciano
Step 2) we now have 2x
Step 3) Now it is 2x + 5
Step 4) Now we have 50*(2x + 5)
= 100x + 250
Step 5) If birthday then we have 100x + 2004
If no birthday then we have 100x + 2003
Step 6) Subtracting your birth year will of course now give you
100x + your age

So naturally.....the first digit of this presumably three digit number will be the number "x" yuou chose at the beginning and the last two will be your age!

Of course, if you are over a hundred years old there may be some problems......

2. Wow, that's bizarre!

My son Chris (Shrubhater) and I just did this for myself, him, and my mom, and each time it worked perfectly! He's the mathematician, though, so I'll leave it up to him to figure out! I'm lucky if I can add two plus two most of the time.:wow:
