Guys, do you get funny looks when shopping for women's clothing?

Every time I go out to buy ZenLeftyGirl some article of clothing, the salespeople don't know what to think of me. I used to clarify early on with them with the Three Magic Words ("it's a gift"), but lately I've gotten tired of their awkward glances and just let them guess. My goal is to make them say "sir, that camisole will never fit you."

The only place where the salespeople automatically know what I'm there for is Victoria's Secret. They're always friendly and ask me a lot of questions about my girlfriend and help me pick out some nice things. Problem is, they tend to lead me over to the Porn Star Collection, thinking it'll be easy to sell me 12 square centimeters of cloth for $42.99. But at least they don't stare at me like I'm from Vogon.

for my SO. I looked around the lingerie section, trying to find just what she asked for. Took about ten minutes. I was just hoping for the cashier or another customer to say something. I was quite prepared to tell them I was entering a drag competition. (Look at my entry in the gallery to see how hilarious THAT would be!)

jeez, women are touchy about that.

The people over at GoodWill know it's for the theater dept.
