1. The only packages that were lost were shipped UPS.
Edited on Tue Aug-10-04 02:23 PM by Connie_Corleone
FEDEX is best for me. UPS was to ship some CD's to me a couple of weeks ago Overnight. The last line on the tracking screen says it was out for delivery. It was on the damn truck on its way to my house, but they still managed to lose it.

10. Same here.
Cheap, efficient service.

I've had a few bad experiences with UPS and FedEx, but the USPS has never caused me any problems. I don't know why it gets such a bad rap.

16. My mailman jumps over fences for me.
Literally.

Our apt. building is next to an empty lot and when a developer built condos there, it displaced the earth around the fence of our building. The gate was stuck for nearly a month and my mailman jumped the fence to deliver the mail to us!

The only reason I found out he was doing this was because when he went on vacation, his replacement wouldn't do it (not that I blame him) and I had to go pick up my mail at the p.o. My regular mailman had been out sick and was on light duty at the p.o. so I gave him the phone number of our property management office because I had tried contacting them 3 times about the gate. He called and the very same day, they were out there fixing our gate!

So, he not only jumped the gate, he actually got our prop. management company to repair it for us!

11. Fed Ex Ground
Several years ago Fed Ex bought Roadway Parcel and made it the Fed Ex ground service. When I ran my own small business in the 1980's and 1990's I would not accept deliveries from Roadway (I told all my suppliers not to use them or their orders would be refused). They were habitually late and just lousy. I don't think they have improved one bit from what I have seen and heard.

14. The friggin guvmint service: USPS
Edited on Tue Aug-10-04 02:48 PM by RatTerrier
Lost a package of mine. I called, said there was really nothing that could be done, and I should have gotten package tracking.

Hell, when I pay that much for postage, the least they can do is deliver the fucking thing!

Never trust a government bureacracy with anything important.

Next time, it's UPS for me.

15. Hear, hear!
I clicked USPS as soon as I saw it, without even reading the other choices. One of them could have been "Matcom's ass," and I STILL would've voted USPS. Damn package-losing bastards!! :grr:

19. UPS!!!!!

Arrrghhhhhhhh!!! - I hate these people.

They never get anything to me on time, they leave things where the dogs can eat them (I've only asked to leave things on the porch oh, two or three million times), they leave stereo amplifiers(!) out in the rain...

They're awful. Horrible. Useless. Hopeless.
I hate 'em, hate 'em, hate 'em.

Thank you.
