What's the topic?

The bulk of it has involved developing surface chemistries to pattern ligands and cells for biological studies (quick diagnostics, metastasis studies, etc)

I'm also going to talk about encapsulating insulin-producing cell bodies from animals for the purpose of transplanting in humans. We designed the capsule so that the capsule will allow passage of glucose and insulin, but restrict the much larger entities that recruit an immune response. So far, we've shown that these cell bodies survive the process, and produce insulin in response to glucose interrogation...and that the capsule does indeed restrict passage of the larger bodies.
