5. Nice to see a real, full blown concept album at that time (late 80s)
But lacking compared to Lamb/Broadway, The Wall, Tommy, Animals etc.

Still, Suite Sister Mary is awesome with or without the story-line.

Love Tate and DeGarmo.

10. Adrift in a sea of retarded sexuality.....
don't want to hijack the thread....it's just that Queensryche always struck me as Tap-esque...don't know why.

What little I heard of it didn't impress as you can imagine.

Reva-lution's comin'!
Reva-lution's comin'!

Has a metal band EVER made a GOOD concept album? I like the guitar playing on the album and that's about it.

13. There was some decent lyrics on the album . . . .
Edited on Wed Aug-11-04 02:11 PM by ET Awful
Seven years of power, the corporation claw
the rich control the government, the media, the law
to make some kind of difference now everyone must know
eradicate the fascists revolution will grow.

The system we learn says we're equal under law
But the streets are reality, the weak and poor will fall
Let's shift the power balance, tear down their crown
educate the masses we'll burn the whitehouse down.
. . . .

Religion and sex are power plays
manipulate the people for the money they pay
selling skin, sellin god
the numbers look the same on their credit cards

Politicians say no to drugs while we pay for wars in South America (they actually sang this as Saudi Arabia on tour when the album came out)
fighting fire with empty words
while the banks get fat
and the poor stay poor
and the cops get paid
to look away
as the one percent rules America

edit: Also, it was "Revolution Calling" not "comin'" :) :) :)

15. Ah!
Kind of embarrassing for me... but not really.

It's a turkey. The production is kind of sonically thin, too.

Pink Floyd's the Wall is my favorite concept album.

12. Shortest album review I've ever seen:
remember the band GTR (GuiTaR - the vowels... Steve Hackett and Steve Howe... 1986)?

The Album was called GTR

The review was simply: SHT

Best. Review. Ever.
