Earth's Moon and Venus
I snapped a couple pictures this morning with my digital camera. First, the details. There are no fancy tricks applied with these photos here. The original resolution for these was 2048x1536. The first photo is simply reduced to 1024x768. The second photo was cropped to 640x480, so the Moon's original resolution is still intact. Did I mention I took these without a tripod? I am amateur times one million.

First, a pairing of Luna and Venus.

And second, about as clear a shot of a crescent Moon my digital camera can get without any aid.

3. Venus is very brilliant right now.
I mistook it for an airplane at first. XD

2. Very cool.
You can't be totally downtrodden if you remember to look up.

A telescope would be nice.

I'd get some really uber pictures then. :D Though, I can only slow down my shutter speed to 2 seconds with my camera. That's what I get for having a point-and-shoot and SLR hybrid.

6. They say if Venus had a moon like Earth's...
That it would be visible with the naked eye and we wouldn't have had that whole geocentrism fiaso.
