Did you ever start to make chocolate chip cookies...

and end up eating 1/3 of the bag of chocolate chips before it was time to add them to the dough?

Ugh. I am going to be sick.

Not that you can do it anymore because raw eggs are no longer safe, but oh, by every god I can name, raw chocolate chip cookie dough is the best!

Then when only end up with about 15 cookies from the batch and wonder where they all went. (I use egg substitute so it should be safe enough to eat.)

but I'm really bad when I make homemade brownies with nuts. I usually reserve about a cup of batter to eat raw.

then wash your eggs before you crack 'em. Salmonella is on the shell; the egg interior is sterile.

Anyway, I've never washed an egg or gotten sick. Don't wash my carrots either (unless I have guests, then I change from a neanderthal back to a cultured human).
