I'm so PISSED I missed CHARLEY
My plane flew out of Orlando at 11:00 a.m. on Friday the 13th. I was in town for a trade show. My one chance to experience a hurricane and I blew it! :argh:

2. My relatives live in Largo, Florida - west of Tampa
...And they actually seem disappointed that the hurricane didn't hit the Tampa area. All that preparation for nought!

3. Be ever so thankful that you did!
Look at all the people who died and those who are left homeless. Perhaps it is exciting to see the surf pounding, the wind blowing and the trees bending but only up to a point and that point is gone when there is loss of life and property. ;)

4. Not to minimize the pain and suffering...
of those who died or were injured, but I have always wanted to experience a hurricane and this was my big chance. Plus I was staying in a well-built hotel (NOT a trailer park) so I would've probably been fine. I just happen to live in boring-ass San Diego where the weather never changes.

5. It is quite cool to be in the middle
I went outside when the eye of a hurricane passed over me. It was the middle of the night and it was very eerie to be out there. Then I heard the wind pick back up and I ran back in!
