So today was my round table with a square table discussion with
J.D. Hayworth and the other two people in the race. Now can ANYONE explain to mean how you can have the bargining power of 40 million seniors and yet no negotiation by law? He claims that the government has that power of bargining but with the medicare bill they cannot negotiate with the drug companies! ARGH!

1. It is hard to discuss anything with those that refuse to use logic, or
least give some hints as to where in their world, and/or why in their world, they refuse logical conclusions.

Brings to mind my early sci-fi readings. Granted my reading of the 1948 A. E. van Vogt classic World of Null-A (non-Aristotelian logic) was a fun read even after I began to realized that no one in the book use non-Aristotelian logic. And it did introduce me to the world that followed German Gestalt theories - namely General Semantics http://www.esgs.org/uk/gs.htm - a - IMHO - pseudo-science.

But I found I did not like talking in circles (although in High School it was rather neat!).

I have great sympathy for what you had to endure.

2. No, it was fun. I hope to win my primary and then REALLY go to town
on Hayworth. I pointed out that it would be really stupid for a company to ignore the fact that the government (customer) has no choice in the price they pay. While this is bad for us the taxpayers, the businesses would take advantage. Simple matter of economics. He could not answer that one other then to say "um they will because they will"
