Poor poor Me, Gonna miss the convention coverage

What a lucky break. I'm boarding a ship this morning in Ras Laffan, Qatar for a week of Persian Gulf surveys, and there is no TV available,and the Ukrainian and Iranian crew don't listen to english radio stations.

You just don't know how good this will be for my blood pressure! If I have any regrets it is that I will miss the news of the massive (I hope) demonstrations outside the convention like in 1968, and that I won't be able to join you here at DU in trashing all the BS and sewage that is going to flow out of the RNC convention hall.

So be well, don't get too upset, and I'll join you here next week to catch up on what I missed.

Here's hoping the delegates within Madison Square Garden hear the voices of thousands upon thousands of those who have endured the Bush agenda for the past four years...

Now I have to unplug my computer and move it out to the living room for the painters...

but I can not bare watching any of these Repugs with smirks on their faces preaching about what is good for America . I am not watching any of the coverage . Maybe Hardball . And of course coverage of the protests , I will watch that .

But I suspect it will bear few surprises. As The Big Dog said, it is time for the "compassionate conservative" to come out as they do every four years. Kinda reminds you of locusts, eh? Kinda like what they have done to the Treasury ...
