1. They're fraternal twins...
...who look no more alike than any two siblings.

Or, they are actually the offspring of two different fathers; ya' know, like cats! Eeeeeewwwwww!

4. That's not impossible, Damselfly
A woman in Germany gave birth to fraternal twins who were fertilzed within hours of each other by two different men--of two different races. You can ge SHE had a lot of explaining to do!

14. It is also possible to have half-identical twins,

meaning one egg divides in two and is then fertilized by two different sperm, from one or two men. You can't tell this without DNA analysis, of course, unless twins of different races are born, as in your example.

18. Fraternal Twins
The two tykes at the bottom are my twin brothers, different as can be.
In this case, the kids were apparently conceived on two different occasions - chalk it up to fertility drugs. The twins are the children of my Dad and his second wife....

20. no
there's no reason to believe they were conceived on different "occasions".

My boyfriend is a twin - they're identical, meaning they came from one fertilized egg that split. I am also a twin, but my sister is a foot shorter than I am, and of opposite gender. We are the result of two eggs that were fertilized separately. We are fraternal twins.

I refuse to believe my parents had sex more than necessary to create children.

Impossible. Everyone knows that sex wasn't even invented until they discovered it themselves...
