I had 3 dates last week. It's like a record.
The first was with a guy who I'm semi-compatible with, more in a moment...
The 2nd was a guy who I REALLY clicked with in terms of interests and to a decent extent politically. Moreso than the first. I sent him a follow-up the next day (Sunday) and haven't heard back since. :-( I thought things went well but if I scared him off, oh well. I did give one follow-up tonight including my phone # (I re-read my original e-mail to him and it did sound half-loopy so I can see why I'd scared him off.) He was fun to be around and I thought there was potential, but oh well. (Maybe he got bad vibes from me, which was not intentional by any means...
I later did get back to the first person and we're going out again on Sunday, though I was late getting back to him (I thought he wasn't interested in me, more in a moment). He seemed defensive about the delay (he called back wondering!) but I can empathise readily. He's actually cool, we have similar political beliefs and mannerisms, so I think we click. He's very cute too. I thought I had scared him off as I have a knack of looking into peoples' eyes as they talk, it helps me to concentrate (which is hard enough to do). But it will be fun.
Tonight was the 3rd guy. Yummy doesn't even begin to describe him. He's very outgoing and, until fatigue set in (which didn't help my ADD) he was fun to listen to. He's very 'down to earth' though. Understandable given his business. I don't think we clicked (I felt 'left out' at times but I'll admit I just don't have the charisma he has, nor am I as learned in the real world - I'm too much of an idealist for him), but I'd still would have gone out a second time, if not more. We parted on good terms but it seemed too ambiguous. Oh well. If I do hear back from him, then it's way cool. Otherwise, life must go on. I would have learned a great deal from him though, but I doubt he wants a loyal free-spirited hipee-wannabe puppy dog as a mate, he already has a pooch. :-) I don't know how I end up scaring people away, but I inevitably do... :-)
Thanks for reading.
