My co worker just told me Saddam did 9/11
My jaw dropped so profoundly to the floor - I was so incredulous - that she became defensive and unfortunately I wasn't able to engage her in a persuasive conversation.

When I told her Saddam had nothing to do with it she asked me, quite sincerely, who did it - and I had to explain that it was Osama Bin Laden and Alqada - who had to relationship with Iraq.

How is this freaking possible??? She didn't even remember Bin Laden?

13. let me translate freeper logic to you....
you see, OBL is brown, from the Middle East, Muslim, and he doesn't like us. Saddam is also brown, also from the ME, also Muslim, and also doesn't like us. Therefore they're probably either the same person, or they're probably best friends plotting against our freedomses.

See how that works? Now that I've just dumbed down your IQ a good 20 pts, you can the situation from her perspective!

14. The funny thing is...
...OBL hates Saddam Hussein intensely. He drinks, and smokes, and in OBL's eyes, he is the worst type of an infidel.

Does not matter in the least though to a freep.

15. That's always the FIRST thing I say when people try to connect the two
Saddam was a lot of things, but he was never a fundamentalist. From what I understand, Saddam didn't think too highly of OBL either. I also remember after 9/11 when Saddam stated that although he didn't like our govt, what happened to the citizens of 9/11 was wrong. I can also remember the first time I heard Tenet say there was no connection between Saddam and OBL...it a little less than a week after 9/11 happened.

17. Larry Flynt is to Pat Robertson as Hussein is to Bin Laden
that's one way I try to explain it.

18. I'm finally starting to truly understand how f'ing ignorant many
of the people in this country are. I had four co-workers (all college-educated but not that that means a damn thing) try to tell me yesterday that there's no such thing as term-limits for presidents!!!!!!!!!!!!!I shit you not! I immediately got on DU and you guys posted the 22nd ammendment in which I printed and gave to them. Once again, I can't help but believe that we're currently living in a parallel universe.

20. They believe what they choose to believe and disregard the rest.
For example the instance that Aahnold will/could be President one day.
KKKarl knows how ignorant the RW masses are and even flaunts it. Take the times Bush has gone off on the sex slavery tangent during his STOU and UN speeches. It's almost as if they are rubbing it in our face and saying, "See how they swallow even this garbage. You don't stand a chance."
